Pull requests
Create draft pull requests by default, unless explicitly commanded otherwise.
Data source confidentiality
We access Brazil's GTAs (Guias de Trânsito Animal) through Repórter Brasil's Rota do Gado service. Do not name Rota do Gado or Repórter Brasil as the data source in anything public. Internal documentation may name them.
S3 queries in Claude Code cloud sessions
Before applying this section, check whether the environment variable CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE equals "true". If it is unset or has any other value, ignore this entire section and follow the existing local workflow.
In cloud sessions, follow all instructions below.
Query method
Always query S3-backed data through the Metabase API: https://metabase.deforestationfree.com/api/dataset
You can also access Ducklake through Metabase.
Use POST with Content-Type: application/json and this JSON structure:
{
"database": <METABASE_DATABASE_ID>,
"type": "native",
"native": {
"query": "<SQL>",
"template-tags": {}
},
"parameters": []
}
Replace
Authentication
Authentication is configured in the Claude cloud environment as an X-API-Key header for metabase.deforestationfree.com. Use that configured credential. Never hard-code, print, or commit the API key.
SQL and results
Use the SQL dialect and tables of the connected database. Read results from data.rows and column metadata from data.cols. Check both the HTTP status and the query status in the response. Check whether results were truncated and disclose any truncation before drawing conclusions from the data.
Access rules
Do not access S3 directly or use AWS CLI, boto3, or another query route unless I explicitly request it. If Metabase fails, explain the error rather than silently switching methods.
Run read-only queries unless I explicitly authorise changes.
