Week of 21–27 September 2026

  • Corrected province-level CPO productivity numbers.
  • Adjusted deflation factors for FFB unit industrial production from island to province level for better accuracy.
  • Reviewed connections between FFB production areas and mills to address unrealistic long-distance sourcing. We addressed the few extreme-distance cases in Papua identified through QA, but left other links over 1,000 km in Kalimantan and Sulawesi because most still seemed reasonable. Removing them from the OD matrix could result in worse replacement connections without changing mill production. In a few cases, inflation factors that raised estimated mill production above actual reported production may also have contributed to long-distance sourcing. Two options for future work are a distance cutoff or using area-based FFB unit production estimates, though the latter would require substantial work to clean concession data and exclude damaged or nonproductive areas.
  • Reduced production estimates for selected Papua mills after finding indications of lower operating capacity associated with periods of inactivity or revoked concession supplier permits. Background sources: MPHS resumed operations, Varita Majutama concession permit, MPHS operating below normal capacity, and MPHS factory fire.
  • Renamed ZDC and ZDC values and product types; adjusted metadata.
  • Reran the model for all years and completed another round of QA. We corrected some issues and left others open, as noted in the QA summary. Given the remaining limitations, we decided to move forward with post-processing and embedding.
